In a major milestone for its growing portfolio of sustainability-focused projects, Agrotek Lestari Internasional (ALI) was officially announced as the winning bidder of a key contract under Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), titled Due Diligence Services – Environmental and Social Performance – Indonesia II Compact, which supports the MCC’s Environmental and Social Performance Practice Group.
The contract falls under the Indonesia Infrastructure and Finance Compact (also known as Indonesia Compact II), a strategic partnership between the United States’ MCC and the Government of Indonesia. Administered by Millennium Challenge Account–Indonesia II (MCA-I II), the Compact is designed to address persistent constraints to economic growth in Indonesia by improving infrastructure financing and expanding access to finance for micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
As a sustainability consulting firm based in Jakarta, ALI brings deep expertise in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues, as well as natural resource management and responsible infrastructure development. The firm began its work under the Compact on May 20, 2024, with the contract running through May 19, 2026, and a possible extension through 2029.
ALI’s scope of work includes conducting due diligence activities focused on environmental and social safeguards, ensuring that Compact-supported initiatives align with both international standards and Indonesia’s development priorities. Through rigorous assessments, stakeholder engagement, and ESG compliance advisory, ALI is contributing to the development of inclusive, resilient, and sustainable infrastructure systems in various provinces across the country’s islands.
This contract award has marked a significant step forward in ALI’s mission to support Indonesia’s transition toward more sustainable and equitable growth. By working alongside MCA-I II and the MCC, ALI is helping to ensure that development investments are not only economically sound, but also socially responsible and environmentally sustainable.
